| I can not complain at all about this movie. I gave everything that was expected. This is Cheesy and fun! I grew up on classic films and the jungle Tarzan movies. I saw several classic Tarzans included Ron Ely and Johnny Weissmuller. I have never missed an opportunity to catch a movie Tarzan on television as a child. Tarzan and the Lost City rescues that kind of magic of childhood. I am not entertained from start to finish. Its flaws are part of its charm and will only add to the fun. All the classic Tarzan films have flaws. So what? That's part of what makes' em so much fun! Tarzan and the Lost City is no exception. Provides this classic film fan of the jungle with a lot of entertainment. It is great fun with a big bowl of popcorn and a cold drink! |
| God, this is a difficult group to meet. As my name suggests I'm a stone cold monster and Edgar Rice Burroughs, for the fans ERB, are less Tarzan movies that are enjoyed more to be endured. Our suffering has been great and that has been long. When you have paid Wampum hard to sit through "In the heart of the earth ".... when you have a real opinion about whether Buster Crabbe was a better actor Johnny Weissmuller .... when can we explain the difference between Nyoka, Sheena Rulah .... and then you can tell what a terrible Tarzan is this movie. For those happy few who conform to the description above, you are going to like this movie very well and, in fact, you probably already have seen. It is not the real McCoy, but no doubt it has given up on that for the moment. |
| Tarzan and the Lost City was a failed attempt to bring the Lord of the Apes in the 90s. Casper Van Dien physically imposing as John Clayton, Lord Greystoke, and his loincloths-dressed alter ego, but it is not just a player good enough to Burroughs' real character to the screen. The special effects are well made and trite, but really not needed, and the villains were never a good game of Tarzan, a man physically capable of doing almost anything. Jane March is attractive, but in a more British kind of way, it really does not translate well in the film American public course. |
| I loved this film Tarzan, and that goes beyond the normal of the film Tarzan. I liked having the same kind of characteristics that Tarzan of the past has had, but with a new look to head into the next generation. Casper Van Dien really shines in this movie, which takes an incredible amount of energy, this film needed. This film Tarzan has a new twist, with the old ways of life meeting of the new way of life. I think it's a great movie. |
